Cold hampers honey production

Farmers have cultivated mustard in vast swathes of Manikganj and many of them are also engaged in beekeeping as the demand for honey from mustard flowers is very high. However, some farmers in the district’s Harirampur Upazila say they have observed an unwillingness among the bees to leave their hives to collect honey due to severe cold, effectively creating an obstruction to production.
