Baldha Garden, a kingdom of rare flowers

Baldha Garden, located in Dhaka’s Wari, was established in 1909 by Narendra Narayan Roy Chowdhury, the zamindar of Baldha Estate. He created two gardens - the first one named Saiki, meaning spirit, and the second named Sibli, meaning the Goddess of Nature. The two were combined under the name of Baldha Garden. It has many rare plants that are not found anywhere else in Bangladesh. Photo: Mahmud Zaman Ovi
