The water crisis of Banasree

The residents of Dhaka face a clean water crisis as the water supplied by the city’s Water Supply and Sewerage Authority or WASA is not suitable for drinking without boiling or filtering. The situation is worse for the residents of Banasree, who cannot drink the water even after boiling or filtering it due to a foul smell. Moreover, boiling is not an option for many amid a gas crisis. So, they queue up at a water ATM booth set up by the WASA for drinking water.
