Anime fans can now catch the highly anticipated "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle", the newest sequel to one of Japan’s most popular anime franchises, on the big screen in Bangladesh.

The movie is screening at Star Cineplex, where it is being shown 43 times across seven branches, the company said in a statement.

Released in Japan on Jul 18 and later rolled out to audiences in the United States, Canada and India on Sept 12, the film continues the saga of siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko as they face a cast of demons whose histories are steeped in tragedy.

The movie adapts the Infinity Castle arc from Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga — one of the most action-packed and emotionally charged chapters in the series. It follows directly after Season 4 of the anime and is the first in a planned trilogy of feature films to conclude the story.

The story plunges Tanjiro, Nezuko, the elite Hashira warriors and the Demon Slayer Corps into Muzan Kibutsuji’s labyrinthine stronghold, the Infinity Castle, where shifting walls and deadly foes await. It is also the first in a planned trilogy of films that will bring the saga to its conclusion.

With its signature blend of emotional storytelling and striking visuals, the Demon Slayer franchise has struck a chord with audiences worldwide. Critics have praised Infinity Castle for its spectacular fight sequences and emotional weight, though some note that its sprawling story occasionally slows the pace.

The first feature-length movie in the franchise, 2020’s “Mugen Train”, became a runaway success, earning more than $506 million on a budget of roughly $16 million, making it the highest-grossing film in Japanese box office history.

"Infinity Castle" has already followed in its footsteps, raking in more than $470 million globally on a budget of about $20 million.

Two more titles, "To the Swordsmith Village" (2023) and "To the Hashira Training" (2024), kept the momentum alive, expanding the franchise’s global reach and further cementing its status as a cultural phenomenon.
