The price of all types of fuel has increased by Tk 1 per litre from Feb 1.
The interim government set these new prices for February as part of ongoing fuel price adjustments.
The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources announced the revised rates in a notification on Friday night.
The new prices will take effect from Friday midnight.
The price of diesel and kerosene has risen to Tk 105 per litre from Tk 104.
Octane now costs Tk 126 per litre, while petrol has gone up to TK 122.
Before the adjustment, octane had been priced at TK 125 per litre, and petrol at TK 121 per litre since Jan 1.
According to the notification, the new prices were determined under the "automatic pricing formula" to align with global fuel price fluctuations.
After taking charge following the fall of the Awami League government, the interim administration first adjusted fuel prices on Aug 31, 2024.
At that time, prices for petrol and octane were reduced by Tk 6 per litre for September, while diesel and kerosene prices dropped by Tk 1.25 per litre.
In October’s price review, the government lowered diesel and kerosene prices by Tk 0.50 per litre to Tk 105, keeping petrol and octane unchanged.
On Dec 31, a further adjustment brought diesel and kerosene down to Tk 104 per litre, while petrol remained at Tk 121 and octane at Tk 125.
