Dhaka, Jan 10 (bdnews24.com) - Finance adviser Shoeb Ahmed Wednesday hoped donors would continue to help Bangladesh in its development process.
Shoeb made the observations during meetings with Hua Du, resident representative of Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Mohamed Alhousseyni Toure, acting country director of World Bank (WB) at his finance ministry office.
The adviser assured the donors' representatives of continuing efforts to maintain Bangladesh's growth momentum.
Release of the development support credit (DSC-IV), implementation of the health, nutrition and population sector programme (HNPSP), divestment of Rupali Bank and price adjustment of electricity were on the agenda of the talks between the adviser and the WB official, the finance ministry said in a statement.
The WB and the ADB are two major development partners of Bangladesh with an annual contribution (loan and grant) of over $1 billion each.
