Public Prosecutor SM Rafiqul Islam of Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-4 said Judge ABM Nizamul Haq will fix a hearing date on Wednesday.
Zubair, a 37th batch student at the Department of English, was brutally killed on Jan 8 last year.
The court of Dhaka’s First Additional District and Session Judge held a hearing on charge framing on Jul 4 but did not indict any.
All the 13 accused are activists of ruling Awami League’s student front—Bangladesh Chhatra League—at the university. They are currently on bail. Zubair himself was an activist of the front.

Khan said they would file a plea for producing the accused in the court. “The trial would start with charge framing.”
The same court is trying sensational Biswajit murder case. The accused in the case are activists of Jagannath University’s BCL unit.
Old Dhaka tailor Biswajit was hacked to death last December during an opposition-alliance enforced shutdown.
The Speedy Trial Act stipulates wrapping up a case within 135 working days. However, the judge can extend the time with valid reasons.
Zubair’s death had sparked off a wave of protests by the residential university’s students and teachers alike, pushing then the Vice Chancellor Sharif Enamul Kabir from office.
Then Registrar Hamidur Rahman filed the case with the Ashulia police. The Investigation Officer filed a chargesheet on Apr 8 last year against 13 students of the university’s 37th batch.
The court of Dhaka District and Sessions Judge Abdul Majid took cognisance of the charges on May 12 last year.
Those accused are Shafiul Alam Setu and Abhinandan Kundu Ofi (Statistics), Ashiqul Islam Ashique, Khan Mohammed Riza and Zahid Hassan (Zoology), Kamruzzaman Sohag, Istiaque Mehbub Arup and Rashedul Islam Razu (Philosophy), Mahbub Akram (Political Science), Mahmudul Hasan and Mazahrul Islam (History), Nazmus Shakib Tapu (Microbiology) and Nazmul Hassan Plaban (Public Administration).
Of them, Mahbub Akram and Nazmus Sakib have made statements confessing their involvement in the crime.
