A total of 152 men were sentenced to death in Tuesday's verdict.
Dhaka's Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Akhtaruzzaman acquitted 277 others.
"We did not get justice, we believe," said defence lawyer Shamim Sardar after the sentence.
As many as 74 people, including 57 army officers, were killed in the Feb 25-26 mutiny in 2009.
Sarder said 154 men had been ordered to walk the gallows.
However, prosecution lawyer Mosharraf Hossain Kajal said the number was 151.

Of the 846 living accused, the court handed down life in prison terms to 161 people.
Others have been given jail terms in between three and 10 years.
"We'll move the higher court against the verdict," said Sardar.
Another defence lawyer, SM Rifaz Uddin, echoed Sardar.
"My client has been sentenced to death although [The prosecution] could not prove even a single charge.
"I'll appeal against the sentence," he said.
Rifaz represented soldier Ershad in the case.
Ataur Rahman, lawyer of death convict soldier Khairul Alam, said his client, too, would challenge the verdict.
