RAB's Assistant Director Maksudul Alam said the former MP and head of BNP's Rajshahi unit Nadim Mostafa was detained, but could not say why.
Mostafa was nabbed at 4:30am Monday from Dhaka's Gulshan area, bdnews24.com's Chief Political Correspondent Sumon Mahmud had said earlier quoting his sources.
He was taken away from a house behind the Westin Hotel. Mostafa is on the party’s central executive committee as “special affairs secretary”.
