The colour has faded, the plaster is coming off, and waterlogging can be seen around the stadium. Windows and doors are broken and floodlights have been removed. The digital scoreboard is out of order and the entrance is full of mud. Seats and audience canopies are broken. The "Shaheed Ria Gope Cricket Stadium" in Narayanganj’s Fatullah has been in a sorry state for a long time. Once it was called “Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium” and was supposed to hold international matches. However, no match has been held here for the last nine years. A renovation initiative was taken two years ago but that has stalled as well.
