Market for used ACs
As public life teeters in the scorching heat, people are seeking several ways to find relief. While the upper class uses air conditioners (ACs) for comfort, this luxurious device remains beyond the means of the middle class. However, a large market for second-hand ACs has emerged in Dhaka’s Dholaikhal. People from different walks of life visit the shops to buy reconditioned ACs of several local and foreign brands, priced between Tk 10,000 to Tk 50,000.
