Shops on railway tracks, trains running at risk
Despite a ban on setting up shops on the railway tracks along both sides of the road and under the flyover in Dhaka’s Jurain, local traders are defying the order. Hawkers have occupied the tracks with makeshift stalls selling vegetables, clothes, food and other daily necessities. Similarly, shops have also been set up on vans and makeshift carts on the tracks.
