Cooking with pond water at Suhrawardy Udyan
More than a hundred mobile food stalls operate inside Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan, selling everything from fuchka, chotpoti, puri, shingara, to a variety of fried snacks. However, some vendors are using the stagnant, dirty water from the park’s pond for washing and cooking, raising serious health and hygiene concerns.
