A rare flock of white egrets
Flocks of white egrets, a type of heron, are rarely seen nowadays. Climate change, the use of pesticides in crop fields, deforestation and hunting are among the many reasons the range of their natural habitats have shrunk over the years. A large flock of the birds were caught on camera in the Teghuria area of Dhaka’s South Keraniganj.
