Students block the Saat Rasta intersection in Dhaka’s Tejgaon on Tuesday while protesting a recommendation to appoint BSc engineers alongside diploma engineers to 10th-grade assistant engineer posts.
They threaten to resume demonstrations if the six-point demand is delayed or ignored
“We will now move towards stricter programmes. Our movement to push for our demands will continue. We will discuss with the others and announce programmes.”
A meeting with the Ministry of Education was scheduled following the intervention of Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus and at the invitation of Education Advisor Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar
