Old Dhaka monkeys battle heatwave

As Baishakh heatwave intensifies over Old Dhaka, not only humans but the city’s monkeys are feeling the strain, seeking refuge in shade and whatever relief they can find. Locals give cucumbers, watermelons, ripe bananas, and cold water to the monkeys scattered around Sadhana Pharmacy and the nearby graveyard in Gandaria.
