Campaigning for the 13th parliamentary election is now in full swing. One of the key tools for electioneering is the leaflet. With posters banned this time, leaflet production has picked up sharply at printing presses in Dhaka.

Candidates have begun campaigning in full swing for the national election. Dhaka streets are covered with banners and posters bearing their symbols. This time, as the use of posters made of paper and environmentally harmful materials, including rexine, polythene, and plastic, is prohibited, the candidates are campaigning with cloth banners and posters.

Even before the Election Commission announced the schedule for the 13th national election, many candidates have already begun campaigning by putting up posters across Dhaka. These posters now cover walls across the city -- even the pillars of the metro rail. Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone who violates the rules.
