A Dhaka court approves their arrests in murder and attempt-to-murder cases
The Anti-discrimination Student Movement organised a Victory March in Dhaka to commemorate Victory Day on Dec 16. The procession set off from the Central Shaheed Minar at 11:45am on Monday and moved through the Dhaka University campus before returning to the memorial.
Following a 15-hour road blockade, the patients injured in the Anti-discrimination Student Movement returned to the hospital early on Thursday, Nov 14, 2024, at about 4am, after four advisors arrived late at night and promised to address their demands.
The July revolution council built the “Shahidi Oikya Chattar” in memory of those killed in Dhaka's Jatrabari, Shonir Akhra and Demra during the Anti-discrimination Student Movement. Families of the dead inaugurated the memorial on Monday, Oct 21, 2024.
Two activists from the Anti-discrimination Student Movement, who died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, are mourned. Movement coordinators and an interim government advisor attend their funeral prayers at the Central Shaheed Minar.
