Arizona,Feb28(BDNEWS) - American brothers Bob and Mike Bryan, the ATP Tour's No. 3-ranked doubles team, spoiled what could have been the perfect day for the Aussies when they defeated Wayne Arthurs and countryman Paul Hanley, 7-5, 6-4, for the Tennis Channel Open's doubles title on Sunday, according to wire services.
It was the second straight week that the Bryans beat Arthurs and Hanley, and they collected $16,500 for their 22nd career win and first tournament title of the year.

The brothers Bryan will represent the United States in the first round of the Davis Cup in Carson, Calif., in doubles against Croatia's Mario Ancic and Ivan Ljubicic, who will play singles against Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick.
"Whenever you win a title you feel really good, and next week is going to be one of the biggest weeks of our life, so it's good to go in there with confidence and feeling good about our games," Mike Bryan said.
"We watched Ancic in one of his doubles matches and his (semifinal) singles match, and we played them on Saturday night, so we're going in with a good scouting report. We know his strengths and weaknesses. It's going to be our toughest match in Davis Cup because of their serves and size."
