Dhaka, Oct 15 (bdnews24.com) – The Dhaka Stock Exchange benchmark index gained 15.85 points or surged 0.36 percent to end Monday's trade.
The DSE General Index closed at 4467.77 points with a Tk 5.3-billion turnover on the week's second business day.
Of the traded issues, prices of 172 issues gained, 83 declined and 15 remained at their opening prices.
The DGEN hit its peak around 12:50pm when it reached 4496.21 points.
The DSE had opened the week lower shedding 30 points in its key index.
Over the previous week, the DGEN shed 164 points or 3.53 percent. The average daily turnover was Tk 8.51 billion. In the week before that, the key index fell by 36 points.
