The new government is set to be formally installed on Tuesday at the South Plaza of parliament, in a rare departure from long-established swearing-in tradition.
Preparations are under way for the South Plaza to host both key constitutional ceremonies on the same day: the oath-taking of newly elected members of parliament in the morning, followed by the installation of the new cabinet in the afternoon.
Parliament Secretariat Secretary Kaniz Moula confirmed late Saturday that logistical and ceremonial arrangements were being finalised for the twin events.
Traditionally, the president administers the oath of office to the prime minister and other ministers at Bangabhaban, the official residence of the head of state.
Holding the installation ceremony within the parliament complex represents a notable institutional shift.
Voting was held in 299 of the 300 constituencies on Thursday, with results for 297 seats announced so far.
The BNP has secured an absolute majority with 209 seats.
After the MPs take oath, the party will hold a meeting to elect its leader.
Once the leader of the majority party brings a claim before the president, they will be invited to form the government, after which the new cabinet will be sworn in.
