Bangladesh celebrated the Armed Forces Day with ceremonies on Tuesday, Nov 21, 2023. President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the Liberation War martyrs of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force by placing wreaths at the Shikha Anirban or Eternal Flame monument in the Dhaka Cantonment area. The premier also accorded a reception to the heirs of the recipients of the ‘Bir Shrestha’, the highest military award, and freedom fighters and their heirs.
