Hawkers clog up Dhaka footpaths

Nearly all the footpaths in Dhaka’s Mirpur are occupied by hawkers. These roadside traders take up so much space that it is impossible for two pedestrians to walk side-by-side in the area. In addition to hogging the footpath in the Mirpur-10 area, hawkers have also taken over the area underneath the local metro rail station.
