The first written examination held to assess eligibility for top administrative posts in private schools, colleges, madrasas and technical institutions has produced nearly 14,952 successful candidates.
The results were published around 11:30pm on Wednesday by the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA).
NTRCA Chairman Md Aminul Islam confirmed the development to bdnews24.com, saying the results are available on the authority’s website.
The examination was held last Saturday to determine eligibility for positions including principal, vice-principal, headmaster, assistant headmaster, superintendent and assistant superintendent at private schools, colleges, madrasas and technical institutions.
This was the first such examination conducted to assess candidates for 12,951 posts.
The MCQ-based written test was held at nine educational institutions in Dhaka.
Although 53,069 candidates applied, 48,146 took the test.
Candidates who passed will now face viva.
On Monday, Chairman Aminul said artificial intelligence would be used in conducting the oral tests.
On Jan 27, the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the education ministry authorised NTRCA to handle recruitment for these posts through a notification.
Since 2005, NTRCA has been organising teacher registration examinations, and since 2016, it has been recommending candidates for entry-level teaching positions in private institutions.
