Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has asked students to dream big and aspire to become “three zero persons” during his visit to Doha.
Yunus spoke in a session titled "Building A World of Three Zeros: Zero Net Carbon Emission, Zero Wealth Concentration and Zero Unemployment" at the Qatar University on Thursday, reported state-run news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
"I (would) also be very zealous to see the young people. Because I remind the young people, the most powerful generation in the entire human history," he was quoted as saying by BSS.
"You look like human being like everybody of us, but literally you are super human being... you are the supermen and superwomen," he added.
He encouraged the students against contributing towards “concentrated wealth” and pushed them to dream and imagine creating a new world by abandoning “self-destructive approaches”.
Yunus called on the young to keep their sights set on goals.
"Keep trying to reach the destination. But you must have to dream and imagine. You have to have a dream," he said. "I say imagination has a huge power."
"If you imagine, it will happen. If you do not imagine, it will never happen," he added.
The programme kicked off with Yunus receiving an award for his “outstanding contributions to global humanity”.
He shared his vision of a world of “three zeroes” in the session, involving zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions.
