The Bangladesh Meteorological Department, or BMD, sees days and nights getting warmer in February.
They are likely to be hotter than normal, the Met Office said in its forecast for the month on Sunday.
According to the forecast, the country will likely have less than normal rainfall in the month. The formation of any cyclone or low pressure is also unlikely in the Bay of Bengal.
In the first half of the month, a mild cold wave may sweep through the northern, western and northwestern parts of the country.
In addition, moderate or dense fog may occur in the river basins of the country and light or moderate fog elsewhere during the period.
Based on the model forecasts, meteorological data, weather patterns in the upper sky, analysed weather maps of different levels of the atmosphere, climate models, El-Nino or La-Nina conditions received from the agencies approved by the World Meteorological Organization, or WMO, the BMD said there may be one to two days of thunderstorms or hailstorms in the country in the latter half of this month.
Besides, the country's major rivers may continue to have normal flow in February.
The Met Office said the country had experienced less than normal rainfall in January.
Due to the extension of the sub-continental high-pressure belt up to the western part of Bangladesh, mild to moderate cold wave conditions prevailed in many parts of the country for six days last month.
