Bangladesh’s interim government has launched two mobile applications aimed at improving access to public services and increasing transparency in ticketing.
Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus was briefed on the two digital platforms -- "Shubechha" and "Druto Ticket" -- at the State Guest House Jamuna on Tuesday evening. The briefing was led by Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, special assistant to the chief adviser for posts, telecommunications and information technology, and ICT Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury.
According to the Chief Advisor’s Office, the “Shubhechha” app allows expatriate Bangladeshis easier access to over 100 citizen services in a simplified way. “Druto Ticket” is intended to prevent irregularities and ensure transparency in bus, rail and air travel, particularly during festival periods.
The chief advisor thanked those involved in the initiatives, thanking them for their successful launches.
“Our goal was to ensure that all government services reach citizens without suffering. Today the journey of these two platforms has begun. This is only the beginning. The two platforms must be expanded to a larger scale and reach more people,” he said.
“I hope the next elected government will take these two initiatives forward.”
