The number of hospitalised dengue patients across the country is 23,108 this year

Hospitals across Bangladesh have admitted 843 dengue patients in the latest 24-hour count, taking the tally of infections with the Aedes mosquito-borne disease since January 1 to 23,108.
The death toll rose to 125 as the disease claimed another life in this period, the Directorate General of Health Services said on Saturday.
Among the new dengue patients hospitalised until Saturday morning, 388 were in the capital.
The death was reported in Dhaka South City Corporation.
On Saturday morning, a total of 2,709 dengue patients were receiving treatment at hospitals across the country. They included 1,542 in the capital.
After the government started keeping record of dengue patients in 2000, the highest number of 321,179 hospitalisations for the disease were logged in 2023. The death toll also reached a record high of 1,705 that year.
