Dhaka, Dec 15 (bdnews24.com) – Rangamati Saturday emerged champions in the 2nd Inter-District Women's Football Championship with a 2-0 win over Dhaka in the final at the Dhanmondi Women's Sports Complex ground.
Rokhasan Parvin put Rangamati ahead in the 11th minute while Suinu Pru Marma sealed the match in the 58th minute.
Suinu was adjudged the woman of the tournament while his teammate Mina was named the woman of the final. Sukhi of Narayanganj scored nine goals to be adjudged the highest scorer in the championship.
The Adviser to Local Government, Rural Development & Co-operative and Labour and Employment, Anwarul Kabir, Women and Children Affairs Secretary Rokeya Sultana and Bangladesh Olympic Association vice-president Rafia Akter Dolly witnessed the final and distributed prizes among the winners.
