A fabulous five-wicket haul on debut by 19-year-old Mustafizur Rahman has helped Bangladesh crush India by 79 runs in the first ODI in Mirpur.

Never thought of revenge: Mashrafe
Bangladesh goes crazy after ‘revenge’
Tigers jump to 7th in ODI ranking
After electing to bat, Bangladesh batsmen put up a gritty display and posted an impressive 307 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Half-centuries from Tamim Iqbal (60), Soumya Sarkar (54) and Shakib Al Hasan (52) led the hosts to the imposing total.
Although India got off to a brisk start in their chase, Bangladesh pacers fought back strongly taking eight wickets between them with Mustafiz returning 5 for 50 in 9.2 overs.
They bundled out the tourists for 228 in 46 overs to avenge their defeat in the quarterfinal against the 2011 world champions.
Mustafizur opened the bowling for Bangladesh and was impressive from the start. He varied his pace and bowled cutters expertly.
Young Taskin Ahmed gave the batsmen much trouble going past the edge time and again.
The aggression of the seamers went unrewarded for a while as Mushfiqur Rahim dropped India opener Shikhar Dhawan (30) twice behind the wicket in consecutive overs.
India’s chase began well and they breezed to 95 without losing a wicket in the 16th over.
Rohit Sharma (63) and Dhawan batted with confidence but the latter failed to take advantage of his reprieve.
Mushfiqur pouched a chance off Taskin Ahmed to break the opening partnership at 95 for 1.
Taskin had Virat Kohli (1) with edge a short ball behind to the wicketkeeper in the next over, bringing the crowd to life and firing up his teammates.
Mushfiqur salvaged pride as first-choice behind the wickets with five catches in the match.
Mustafizur made a huge breakthrough with his first ODI wicket, as a cutter drew a leading edge from Sharma and captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza took a simple catch.
With the crowd roaring him on, Mustafizur claimed his second wicket - this time fooling Ajinkya Rahane (9) with another cutter and a leading edge found Nasir Hossain at cover.
The bowler went off the field for treatment after colliding with India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the middle of the pitch.
With the visitors losing half their side for only 33 runs, Suresh Raina (40) and Ravindra Jadeja (32) put on 60 to keep them in the hunt, but the asking rate kept creeping up.
Mustafizur returned following treatment and dispatched Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin in successive balls with superbly disguised cutters. Raina was way early into his drive and lost his stumps.
The wickets raised hopes of a debut hat-trick.
Although Bhuvneshwar Kumar fended it off, he returned to register his five-for with India’s final hope Ravindra Jadeja’s wicket in his next over - once again with a cutter.
Mustafizur was mobbed by his team-mates and the victory was confirmed shortly afterwards, with Shakib claiming the final wicket to spark wild scenes.
Taskin and Shakib chipped in with two wickets apiece while Mashrafe bagged one.
Bangladesh made a blistering start with the bat, with Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar putting up 102 runs off 82 balls.
Tamim hammered Umesh Yadav for 18 runs in the sixth over with three fours and a six.
Soumya was the first to reach fifty, off only 38 balls, as Bangladesh reached 100 in 14th over.
He ramped a Mohit Sharma bouncer over the keeper’s head and reached his second ODI fifty with eight boundaries and a six.
The Indian bowlers apparently had no idea about how to stem the tide, and it was a moment of fortune that handed them the breakthrough.
Soumya set off for a crazy single and was sensibly sent back by Tamim. He turned, but a flicked throw from Raina caught him short of his ground.
Rain then forced the players off the field.
The game lost no over despite nearly an hour of break but Indian talisman Ashwin put the brakes on the Bangladesh charge with a triple strike once play resumed.
Tamim (60) suffered a lapse in concentration following the break as he lofted Ashwin straight down to Sharma at long-off.
His 62-ball innings contained seven fours and a six but the dismissal triggered a top-order collapse.
Ashwin was the chief tormentor of Bangladesh, as he trapped another debutant Liton Kumar Das (8) lbw and had Mushfiq hole out to Sharma in the deep.
The Tigers slumped to 146 for 4 in the 24th over from 102 for 0.
Sabbir fell to Jadeja and it briefly halted the charge. But Nasir made a quickfire 27-ball 34 and pressed on for runs with Shakib.
But Yadav took out both the batsman in successive overs and raised Indian hopes of restricting Bangladesh within 300.
Some lusty hitting by captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (21) took his side to their highest ODI score against India before Kumar cleaned up the tail.
But the 307 all out was some 20 runs short of what they looked like achieving.
Ashwin returned 3 for 51 while Kumar and Yadav bagged two wickets apiece.
