The BNP chief reportedly made the remark on Thursday evening after several ministers met owners and representatives of private TV stations.
"[The government] is imposing fresh censorship on the media so that the people cannot know the reality," Khaleda's adviser Shawkat Mahmud quoted her as saying.
"The ministers warned the TV station owners in the guise of advising them."
Four senior ministers and the junior home minister held a meeting with TV station owners earlier in the day.
The government claimed Bangladesh's situation was 'normal' and 'sought' the media's assistance to highlight 'real picture' of the country.
"(Khaleda) has expressed concerns at such warnings [by the ministers]," Mahmud added.
He went to the BNP chief's office Thursday evening where Khaleda had been staying since Jan 3 after police prevented her from leaving the place.
Khaleda called an indefinite blockade two days later.
Her party boycotted the last general election and has since been pressing for a snap election.
Police withdrew from there on early Monday.
Mahmud said the BNP chief was doing well.
Asked if Khaleda would return home, he said the former prime minister would stay at her Gulshan office during the blockade.
"She says she is persistent in the demonstration to restore democracy.
"She has urged her supporters and the people to continue the blockade until victory is achieved," Mahmud further said.
