Jewellers have raised the prices of gold within three weeks of the previous price adjustment.

Bangladesh Jewellers Association, in a media statement issued on Sunday, announced the price rise, which will come into effect on Monday.
Price of per bhori (11.664 gram) 22-karat gold has been fixed at Tk 48,405.60 against the previous rate of Tk 47,239, 21-karat at Tk 46,247.76 against Tk 45,081, and 18-karat at Tk 39,657.60 against Tk 38,607.
Traditional gold price has been raised to Tk 27,244 a bhori from Tk 26,244.
The association, however, has kept unchanged the price of 21-karat silver at Tk 1,166.
Its General Secretary Dewan Aminul Islam Shahin told bdnews24.com: “Gold price in the international market is rising. So we have decided to adjust the prices.”
The association on May 31 had decreased gold prices and Sunday’s adjustments took them to the previous rates.
