After several days of intense heat, a monsoon rain shower brought some relief to Dhaka on Wednesday. Unfortunately, it was short-lived.

The monsoon rain has breathed new life into the Buriganga by clearing up the murky waters. People of different ages, including children, were spotted bathing in the river.

The usually dark waters of the Buriganga River clear up in the monsoon rain. But, after several days of high temperatures and no rain, a group of children took to the water to escape the heat.
