Huda, who was a cabinet member in the BNP administration and was later ousted from the party, was sentenced to prison in 2007 in the case by the Anti Corruption Commission or ACC.
A Dhaka court had then also convicted his wife Sigma and ordered a three-year term for her.
On Wednesday, the High Court said the time Huda’s wife served in jail until now will be counted as her sentence.
The High Court’s order came after re-hearing appeals by the Hudas challenging the trial court's decision.
The High Court had earlier acquitted them, but the Appellate Division scrapped it and sent it back for a fresh hearing.
The court said on Wednesday that the former minister, who now heads his own party Bangladesh Nationalist Alliance, will have to surrender within 45 days after the order reaches the trial court.
It, however, did not issue any order over the trial court fining him Tk 25 million.
ACC counsel Khurshid Alam Khan said the fine has been upheld as the court did not say anything on it.
