BNP chief Khaleda to appear before media Wednesday

BySenior Correspondent

Her Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan told bdnews24.com that a press conference will held at 4:30pm at the former prime minister's Gulshan office.

Khaleda held meetings with members of her party's newly formed highest policymaking forum, the National Standing Committee, as well as top leaders of stakeholders of the 20-Party coalition.

The last time Khaleda appeared before the media was on Jul 3, a day after the Jul 1 Gulshan cafe carnage, where she called for a 'national unity' to combat terrorism.

The government, however, rejected the call saying that no common ground can be reached with those who 'kill people by firebombing,' hinting at the alliance’s violent attempt to foil the 2014 general election that left over 100 dead.
