The Awami League’s student wing in a media release on Monday said a five-strong committee will probe the attack headed by its Vice-President Joydeb Nondi.

“The committee was formed after an urgent decision made by the Central Executive Committee,” BCL Office Secretary Sheikh Rasel told bdnews24.com. “The committee will have to submit its report to central president and general secretary.”

Rasel himself is a committee member, along with Vice-President Shahinur Rashid Soheil, Ziaul Haque Zia and Joint General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman.

Students at Rajshahi University were on strike against fee hike and evening classes. They were attacked by a group of armed Chhatra League activists on Sunday.
