Remittance inflow up by 22%

In September, Bangladesh received $1.32 billion in remittance, Bangladesh Bank's Forex Reserve and Treasury Management Division's General Manager Kazi Saidur Rahman said on Thursday.

The forex reserves rose close to $22 billion, thanks to the buoyant inflow, he said.
In July, Bangladesh received a record $1.49 billion in remittances, the highest for any one month.
Remittance has been the lifeblood of Bangladesh's economy.
The country received over $14 billion in remittance in the last fiscal.
