Budget speech, other information to be available on bdnews24.com

A government handout said on Tuesday that the speech and information would be available on www.bdnews24.com apart from several government websites.
 
The government sites carrying the information are www.bangladesh.gov.bdwww.nbr-bd.org,www.plancomm.gov.bdwww.imed.gov.bd,www.bdpressinform.org, andwww.pmo.gov.bd.
 
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will place the national budget for the FY 2016-17 on Thursday.
 
It will be the third budget of the present government and the 10th one placed by Muhith – the eight one in a row.
 
The government handout said the minister would present the budget through PowerPoint.
 
Parliament will provide the budget speech, supplementary financial statement, government accounts, information on joint fund receipt, and demands for grants and allocations (revenue and development).
 
It will also provide demands for grants and allocations (development), activities of 40 ministries on women development and protection of rights, budget thoughts on children, mid-term policy statement of macro economy, mid-term budget structure, annual financial statement, summary of budget, Bangladesh Economic Review-2015, and other related documents.
 
The statement on bank, insurance companies and other financial institutions for 2015-16 prepared by the Bank and Financial Institutions Division will be available at Parliament.
 
Anyone can download any information and documents from the Finance Division website – www.mof.gov.bd – and send opinions and suggestions from home and abroad by filing up the feedback form.

Post-budget press briefing Friday
 
The finance minister will address a post-budget press briefing on Friday.
 
He will answer different queries of newsmen at the press meet to be held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium at 4pm.
