Shakib included in Asiad squad

The 27-year-old had been slapped with a six month ban on July 7 due to ‘disciplinary issues’ but was later cleared to play domestic and international cricket from Sep 15 following his appeal to the board.

Shakib will replace off-spinner Sohag Gazi in the squad, chief selector Faruk Ahmed said.

Sohag is required to undergo a mandatory testing before Sep 19 after he was reported for a suspect bowling action at the end of the second ODI in West Indies.
