Ericsson report says net connection growth in Bangladesh among top 10 globally

The report shows that Bangladesh is in the list of the top ten countries globally for net additions, with 2 million new subscribers in the first quarter of 2016.

“The rise of mobile broadband is due to a number of factors, including the affordability of smartphones and other devices, as well as the increasing popularity of data-intensive app types, such as video”, said Mehnaz Kabir, Head of Communications, Ericsson Bangladesh.

The number of smartphone subscribers is expected to double by 2021.
