The Bangladesh Bank fixed the ceiling on Monday, saying it aims to stop abuse of mobile financial services or MFS.
In a notice, it has asked those with more than Tk 300,000 in their MFS account to bring the amount within the limit by Dec 31 this year.
The notice says the customers can transfer the money to their bank accounts.
