Hasina is supposed to inaugurate several development projects in the district, where she hails from, on Saturday.
Her schedule includes inaugurating an eye hospital and training institute, a bridge over the Madhumati River, the post office at Tungiparha and the Gopalganj Shishu Academy building.
She will also lay foundation stones for a dental hospital and a textile engineering college, an FM radio station, a rail track project and constructions of two freedom fighters’ complex.
Hasina is also scheduled to have a meeting with Gopalganj Awami League leaders before starting for Dhaka in the afternoon.
