Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) spokesperson Muntasirul Islam said that he was arrested on Saturday in a case filed seven years ago over a skirmish at Dhaka’s Gulshan.
“He was arrested from his Dhanmondi home around 10am in a case over a skirmish in 2008,” said the DMP deputy commissioner.
Chowdhury, whose father has been sentenced to death for 1971 war crimes, was sent to prison after being produced before a court.
