The Awami League chief visited her father's grave right after reaching Gopalganj on Saturday. She observed a moment's silence in respect to the Father of the Nation.
After that Sheikh Hasina, along with her sister Sheikh Rehana, took part in prayers for the salvation of the souls of her family members killed on Aug 15, 1975.
Later she met with leaders of the Awami League and its affiliate organisations.
She inquired about the development activities of the Gopalganj district.
Sheikh Hasina flew to Tungipara on a helicopter around 12pm along with her sister and other family members. She started her return journey to Dhaka around 4:30pm.
