Monsur Ali Shkdar made acting railway secretary
The Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) chairman will succeed Abul Kalam Azad who will go on post retirement leave on Sept 12.
The public administration ministry issued an order to this end on Thursday.
Monsur Ali joined public services as an engineer in 1982 and was promoted to deputy secretary in 2003.
He worked as an additional secretary at the industries ministry before joining the BCIC.
