Chandpur’s Chief Judicial Magistrate Dilip Kumar Bhaumik issued the order on Monday after Milon had turned himself in to the court.

The case, filed in 2010, accuses Milon and 43 others.

Milon, while a state minister, had allegedly robbed activists of the local Awami League and its youth affiliate Juba League after stopping a bus in his constituency on Mar 1, 2004, his lawyer Quamrul Islam said.

Milon was in prison for one and a half years as an accused in the case.
