The convict, Abdul Latif Khan, is a resident of Charkhali village, in Betagi Upazila.
Barguna District and Sessions Judge Md Barekuzzaman announced the verdict on Monday.
Public Prosecutor Bhuban Chandra Hawlader said Khan had hacked his wife ‘Relima’ to death on Jan 22, 2014.
Relima’s brother Shah Alam Shikdar had filed a case with the Betagi police, accusing Khan of murder.
