Police recovered the body of Prafulla Biwas,60, from his home at Pithabhog village in Rupsha Upazila of the district on Tuesday evening.
Rupsha Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Ziaul Huq said, “He was alone at home as his wife went to visit her parental home.”
“The singer returned home at midnight after performing at a function at Palparha in the village.
“The neighbours inquired about him as they found the house unusually calm throughout the day, and saw the body,” the officer said.
The motive and suspects are yet to be identified, police said.
The body has been sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
