The alleged victim’s father started a case against suspect Abdul Hakim at Banshkhali Police Station on Friday night.
Investigative officer Sub-Inspector Riton Chakma told bdnews24.com on Saturday that the alleged victim, a grade-III student of a local school, was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital’s victim support centre.
Referring to the case dossier, he said the father of the girl alleged Hakim raped her when she went to cut grass for their cow at a field on Wednesday.
“Hakim is known as a stalker in the area. We are looking for him now,” the police official said.
