Explosion at rice mill kills woman

Ashuganj police OC Abu Jafar said the incident took place at Bulbul Sikder’s Amena Rice Mill in the early hours of Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Amena Begum, 35, who used to work at the mill.

Four others, including her children Rony, 7, and Sonia, 5, were injured in the explosion.

The children, who suffered severe burns, were sent to Dhaka, said SI Md Alamgir.

The other two victims have been given first aid.
